Courtney Krodinger and Alyssa Buchanan have been named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, after helping the Panthers finish a perfect 5-0 at the Jayhawk Invitational over the weekend.
Krodinger (Festus, Mo.) batted .727 over the five-game span, driving in three runs from the eight spot in the UNI lineup while recording a .765 on-base percentage. In an 8-0 win over Omaha on Friday, Krodinger went a perfect 2-2 with two runs scored and two walks. On Saturday, the freshman had a perfect 4-4 showing at the plate and racked up a 1.
