ST. LOUIS – Two UNI football players earned Missouri Valley Football Conference Player of the Week honors, the conference announced Sunday.
Will McElvain earned Newcomer of the Week honors for the second time this season, and Chris Kolarevic earned Defensive Player of the Week honors in his first game back after a season-ending injury in the middle of last year.
McElvain threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns on 16-of-29 passing at No. 5 Weber State. He also ran for 105 yards on 16 carries to lead the Panther rushing attack.
