The University of Northern Iowa's senior forward Bennett Koch and freshman guard Tywhon Pickford have each earned honors from the Missouri Valley Conference for their play in 2017-18.
Koch (Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin) tallied All-MVC Third Team honors. Koch leads the Panthers in scoring (12.7 ppg) and in blocked shots (24). He had 20 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 30 points in an overtime win over UNLV (Nov. 29). Koch also became the 42nd UNI player to reach 1,000 career points.
Pickford (Minneapolis, Minnesota) picked up a pair of MVC accolades by being named to the All-Freshman and All-Newcomer teams.
