Box Score AMES, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team battled Iowa State to the final minutes of the game, but fell to the Cyclones, 74-68. UNI is 1-1 overall this season.
The Panthers tied the game twice in the third quarter, but foul trouble got the best of UNI, allowing the Cyclones to score key points at the line. UNI was led by senior Madison Weekly, who scored 15 points, adding a career-high seven assists.
Hannah Schonhardt chipped in a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds while Angie Davison scored a career-high 12 points.
