The inaugural Run4UNI took place Saturday morning as competitors raced around a four-mile course on the Panther campus.
It featured 331 runners that completed the race through UNI's campus. The race began on 27th Street just to the east of Hudson Road and wound its way to an eventual finish at the 50-yard line of Sheriff Field in the UNI-Dome. The race course included many landmarks on the UNI campus, including the Campanile, Maucker Union, Seerley Hall and Commons, not to mention the beautiful landscape found throughout campus.
"It was great to see so many folks sign up and take part in the first Run4UNI, be it as a runner, walker or volunteer," UNI Deputy Athletics Director Steve Schofield said.
