WAVERLY, Iowa – Jack Sumners and Aleenah Marcucci recorded the top times in the 60-meter hurdles at the Wartburg Friday Night Lights Meet and moved into first place in the MVC to date.
Sumners hit his career-best by 1/100th of a second and now sits first in the MVC more than a 10th of a second faster than Indiana State's Matthew Lewis-Banks.
Marcucci surged ahead of teammate Hannah Schau for the top spot in the league with a preliminary time of 8.92. She did not compete in the final.
