AMES, Iowa — Kicking off the first meet of the 2023 season, the UNI men's and women's cross country teams took to the ISU Cross Country Course on Friday morning in a condensed field against Iowa State and Drake.
Junior Emma Hoins anchored the Panthers in the women's 5K race finishing with a time of 17:30, the fourth-best mark in program history with a 15th place finish. Kate Crawford also cracked UNI's top-ten list in the 5K in 18th place with a time of 17:40, tying with Ashley Norem for the tenth-best time in school history.
