ST. LOUIS --- UNI's golfer Griffin Parker has been named to the Missouri Valley Conference's (MVC) Scholar-Athlete First Team, as announced by the league office on Friday morning.
Honorees are recognized for maintaining at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA), while also participating in a minimum of 50% of competitions on the season, or having played in the MVC Championships. Award winners must also have completed at least one full calendar year at their respective institution.
Parker, a senior from Waukee, Iowa, earns the honor for a third consecutive year, becoming the first Panther men's golfer to earn the award three times in their collegiate career.
