CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – After racking up 109 tackles this season at linebacker, senior Jared Farley was named a STATS FCS Buck Buchanan Award finalist, the organization announced on Monday.
The Buchanan Award was first awarded in 1995 and is presented to the FCS defensive player of the year. A national panel of over 150 sports information and media relations directors, broadcasters, writers and other dignitaries will vote on 25 finalists following the regular season. The Buck Buchanan Award winner will be celebrated at the STATS FCS Awards Banquet and Presentation, scheduled for Jan.
