CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Senior Stephanie Davison was honored this week by the Cedar Valley after earning the Cedar Valley Sports Commission Pursuing Victory With Honor Award as part of the Cedar Valley Character Counts Awards banquet on April 12.
Davison is the second UNI student-athlete to be named the winner of the Pursuing Victory With Honor Award after former UNI football player Tyler Sievertsen received the award in 2014. The award is presented to an athletics team, coach, student-athlete or organization that demonstrates commitment to sportsmanship and good character.
The Pursuing Victory With Honor Award winners exude the six pillars of character which are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
