IOWA CITY, Iowa - Darius King set a new UNI record in the shot put at the Musco Twilight to push him into the top five in the nation.
Darius King threw 20.26 meters (66 feet, 5.75 inches) in the shot put, topping his own UNI record of 20.14 meters (66-1). His winning throw puts him fourth in the U.S. among current marks. He also took eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 54.80 meters (179-09).
Makenna Wilson, competing unattached, broke the hammer throw meet record set by former Panther Sarah Pate in 2017.
