ST. LOUIS --- Over 200 UNI student-athletes were recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) on Tuesday afternoon as the league announced its academic honors for the 2022-23 school year.
The MVC announced the recognition of nearly 3,200 student-athletes across the conference with three awards. The Board of Directors Academic Excellence Award requires a minimum 3.8 cumulative grade-point average (GPA), athletic participation in a minimum of two years, as well as student-athletes being within 18 credit hours of graduation (by the end of the spring 2023 semester). Fifteen Panthers were honored with this distinction for their academic success in the previous academic year, tied for second-most in the league behind Illinois State
UNI saw 99 individuals earn the Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award, which requires a minimum GPA of 3.
