DeKALB — The final game of the season was a fitting end to a unfortunate season for the women’s tennis team. The Huskies hosted Ball State University, but fell to the Cardinals 0-7. With Sunday’s loss, NIU continues its Mid-American Conference winless streak, as it reaches 14.
NIU’s loss to Ball State marked the seventh time this season the team failed to score a point, a team-low since the 2010-11 season. The loss to the Cardinals also wrapped up the fifth time this season the Huskies were shutout in a loss.
The Huskies went winless at home with a 0-7 record.
