The women’s soccer team was active during National Signing Day Wednesday as it added six players to the roster for the upcoming season.
Defenders Sarah Avery, Fiona Fulling and Jenna Lewey were added to assist the Huskies in the back line. NIU is losing three defenders from this past season, including Natalia Pena, who played 65 games and logged 1740 minutes in her Huskie career.
On the offensive side of the ball, midfielders Trudy Quidzinski and Kylee Hermeyer were added to help an NIU club who ranked No. 8 in the Mid-American Conference in scoring with 21 goals in 19 games, according to the MAC’s Official Website.
