The women’s golf team earned a first place finish at the Redbird Invitational Sunday and Monday after a score of 73 and a sixth place overall finish by sophomore Isabella Samudio (76-76-73 - 225).
Samudio recorded three birdies on the back nine of the final round to give her a score of 35 on the back nine.
The Huskies (306-309-299 - 914) were the only team to break 300 of any of the 12 teams in the field, and it came in the final round to give the Huskies a one stroke edge over the Bradley University Braves.
