The Track and Field team competes Friday in the annual NIU Classic at the Track and Field Complex.
Head Coach Connie Teaberry said the NIU Classic a big meet that the team has been looking forward to.
“[The meet] is very exciting,” Teaberry said. “We get that one time for family and friends to come out and see us compete. That always gives the girls extra energy when they’re trying to perform.”
Among the athletes competing will be Junior multi-event runner Remy Amarteifio who recently ran her season best of 12.01 seconds in the 100 meter dash, and junior sprinter Britney Hew who ran a season best with time of 11.
