DeKALB – Early in the second half, Northern Illinois guard Michael Orris led a fastbreak on the left side before jumping into Florida International big man Adrian Diaz.
Orris floated in the air, finishing a left-handed layup before saying a little something to his former Kansas State teammate on their way back down the court. Orris and the Huskies survived a wild game against the Panthers, coming away with a 78-75 win in double overtime on Saturday at the NIU Convo Center.
"We exchanged a few words," Orris said with a smile about his layup. "They were playful.
