MUNCIE, Ind. – Long after all the fans filed out of Scheumann Stadium on Saturday night, the lights from the field highlighted the constant drizzle falling to the turf.
For a moment, it was the Huskies' 31-24 win – not the rain – that washed away a winless nonconference schedule.
"It's always easier to practice after a win," said senior linebacker Sean Folliard, who had 17 tackles and a key sack. "It's easier to learn from film after a win, but in the end, it's one win."
Now the Huskies are undefeated in conference play and, more importantly, the offense is beginning to look like Northern Illinois again.
