Northern Illinois senior center Marin Maric was named to the All-Mid-American Conference Third Team, the league announced Monday.
He wasn't the only Huskie to be honored by the conference. Eugene German was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team after a strong first season with NIU.
Maric also was named to the All-MAC third team last season, making him the first Huskie to earn all-conference honors twice since Xavier Silas (2009-2011). This season, Maric is averaging 14.1 points and 8.1 rebounds a game and is third in the conference in shooting percentage (56.5 percent) and fourth in double-doubles (12).
