DeKALB – The long winning streak is nice, but Northern Illinois baseball coach Mike Kunigonis said the ultimate goal is still a conference championship.
The Huskies are riding their longest winning stretch since 1977 and are tied for first place heading into their three-game series against Toledo starting at 3 p.m. Friday at Ralph McKenzie Field.
"You can take all the streaks you want and tell me I'm never going to have another one of these record-breaking streaks if I can win a MAC Championship – if I had to chose, I'm taking the MAC Championship any day of the week.
