Men’s basketball player sophomore guard Eugene German was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week. German balled out against the top two teams in the MAC, averaging 29 points and seven rebounds.
German scored a game-high 28 points and snagged seven rebounds on Saturday. He led the Huskies to their first win over MAC rival University of Buffalo Bulls since 2006. He also scored the game-winning basket, hoisting the Huskies to a 90-88 overtime victory.
Earlier in the week, the Huskies faced the University of Toledo Rockets, where German scored his career high 30 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists.
