DeKALB — The baseball team’s regular season finale on Saturday was cancelled due to inclement weather. The Huskies were set to finish the final series of the year against Bowling Green State University.
NIU Athletics reported the game will not be made up and the Huskies will finish the season with a 18-34 record. All but four of NIU’s wins came against Mid-American Conference teams, finishing with a 14-12 record in conference.
The Huskies also acknowledged their departing seniors when pitcher William Anderson, first baseman Ty Jandrowski and outfielder Josh Mutter were honored
Anderson and Mutter started their careers at NIU in 2016, while Jandrowski transferred from Madison College in 2017.
