Instead of joining the circus that is National Signing Day, high school football prospects will now have an opportunity to sign early and officially shut down their recruiting process.
The new early signing period was a long-debated issue and will officially be put into place after receiving approval in May. The period starts Dec. 20 and lasts for 72 hours.
