DENTON -- All Mason Fine could do was sit and watch last season as Army snatched away a chance for North Texas to reach its ultimate goal.
A shoulder injury kept Fine out of the final three games of the season, including the Heart of Dallas Bowl, in which the Black Knights edged the Mean Green in overtime.
Fine was back for the rematch on Saturday and made all the big plays in the closing minutes to help UNT pull out a 52-49 thriller at Apogee Stadium.
Trevor Moore kicked a 39-yard field goal with five seconds left to cap a wild ending to the Mean Green's final home game of the season that featured two touchdowns in addition to Moore's field goal in the final 3:13.
