Bigger, faster, stronger - and wiser: How UNT's wide receivers evolved into one of the nation's most fearsome trios

DENTON - Seth Littrell readily admits there were times in the not-to-distant past that his trio of standout wide receivers made him want to pull his hair out.

Rico Bussey Jr., ever the prankster, would pull a stunt for a laugh that would interrupt practice. Jalen Guyton wouldn’t always work hard and fell short of the standards North Texas’ head coach sets for veterans he expects to be leaders.

Michael Lawrence, the third member of the trio, might have put it best this week while admitting that he didn’t always set the best example either.

“We were those annoying kids who needed discipline,” Lawrence said.
