Tar Heel freshman Karenna Wurl has been named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Volleyball Team, as announced on Thursday by the league. The honor takes into account both athletic and academic performance during the 2020-21 season.
A defensive specialist/libero from San Diego, Wurl is majoring in media and journalism. As a sophomore, she played in 16 matches for the Tar Heels, leading the squad in both digs (252) and service aces (20).
