HANAHAN, S.C. – The women’s golf team remains is tied for 12th after the second round of the Powerade Cougar Classic. The team shot 9-over-par, two strokes better than Sunday’s performance, to finish 20-over-par for the tournament with just one round remaining.
“The team played better today but are still struggling a bit with the greens, Head Coach Jan Mann said. “Hopefully tomorrow they will be more confident and the putts will drop.”
Sophomore Bryana Nguyen had the best performance of the day for the Tar Heels shooting 1-over-par. Nguyen had two birdies and three bogeys to finish with a 73.
