HANAHAN, S.C. – The University of North Carolina women’s golf team concluded their opening tournament of the 2015-16 season at the Powerade Cougar Classic on Tuesday. The team finished tied for 12th at 33-over-par, 897.
“Overall we saw a lot of great things happen at the Cougar,” said head coach Jan Mann. “We are very proud of Elizabeth (Mallett) for her consistent play and great finish today after a rough start. It was also great to see Kelly (Whaley) finish strong in her last round of her first collegiate event. I know she will be a very strong player for us throughout her four years.
