UNC wide receiver Devontez Walker's waiver for immediate eligibility has been denied. The school is appealing the decision. Walker transferred to UNC after two seasons at Kent State, where he was first-team All-MAC choice last season. Walker, a Charlotte native, was named first-team All-ACC in the conference's preseason poll released last week. (Inside Carolina)
