CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Thirteen home matches in Carmichael Arena highlight the 2023 schedule for the Carolina volleyball team. The Tar Heels open the season vs. Pacific in Tucson, Az., on Aug. 25 at the Cactus Classic, while Carolina's home opener comes on Aug. 31 vs. West Virginia. The Tar Heels will face five 2022 NCAA Tournament participants this season, including a national semifinalist and the national runner-up.
Before the official start to the season, Carolina will split in two for its annual Blue-White Scrimmage on Aug. 18 in Carmichael Arena. The following Friday, the Tar Heels travel to Arizona for three road matches to open the season.
