UNC sophomore Alyssa Ustby has been named to the watch list for the 2022 Cheryl Miller Awarrd, which recognizes the nation's top small forward. Ustby is one of 20 players named to the preseason list.
Ustby, from Rochester, Minn., started 17 games for the Tar Heels last season and played in all 24, averaging 9.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Named to the 2021 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team, she is one of four players from the ACC included on the preseason watch list.
"This is such deserving preseason recognition for Alyssa," UNC coach Courtney Banghart said.
