Courtney Banghart and the UNC women’s basketball program are wasting no time in recruiting some of the top 2026 talents available.
Recently, UNC women’s basketball head coach Courtney Banghart took a trip to Merida, Mexico.
The trip was made with a purpose, as she went to support five-star guard Lanie Grant, who is a 2025 North Carolina commit, in the FIBA Women’s U16 Americas Championship.
Grant and Team USA brought home the gold medal, as Banghart seemed to like what she saw from some of the team’s Class of 2026 prospects.
Since the competition ended, the UNC women’s basketball program has extended three scholarship offers to 2026 student-athletes.
