On Saturday afternoon, the UNC women's basketball program's head coach reeled in a MAJOR talent from the Class of 2026.
Five-star point guard Kate Harpring announced her commitment to the UNC women's basketball program. Harpring, a 5-foot-10 guard from Atlanta, Georgia currently ranks as the No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2026 (according to 247Sports).
The daughter of former NBA veteran Matt Harpring, Kate chose the Tar Heels over a rather elite list of finalists. North Carolina edged out the likes of Iowa, South Carolina and UCLA (among many others).
