The North Carolina Tar Heels Women’s basketball program enters Thursday night’s game at 12-4 overall and 3-2 in Atlantic Coast Conference play. A week ago, they upset then No. 9 N.C. State on the road, giving the Tar Heels a big signature win.
While UNC is middle of the pack in the ACC, you can see the program starting to trend upwards under first-year head coach Courtney Banghart. The Tar Heels have a solid core and could make some noise come tournament time in March.
As for the future of the program, UNC is welcoming in a top recruiting class that features two five-star recruits, a four-star recruit and two three-star recruits in the 2020 class.
