Once again, the North Carolina Tar Heels were an utter disappointment.

Perhaps in another universe, Omarion Hampton’s 178 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns were enough to earn Player of the Game honors easily. The nation’s leading rusher gashed Clemson for nearly 10 yards a carry.
However, his two fumbles, one at the seven-yard line and the other at the goal line, were the mistakes that changed the course of this game.
