After a Christmas break, the North Carolina Tar Heels are back in action.
This is the first game ever against Charleston Southern. The Buccaneers are just 4-8 on the season, but have done quite the circuit in their nonconference schedule. Charleston Southern’s trip to Chapel Hill is the season’s third and final road ACC opponent. In November, the Buccaneers visited two other Big Four programs—NC State and Wake Forest.
Tonight’s game is the final nonconference game for the Heels before starting the ACC slate with a three-game road trip. If all goes to plan, this should be head coach Hubert Davis’s last tune-up before league play and a good chance to shake off the Christmas break dust.
