With a 3-1 win on Sunday to finish off a sweep of Notre Dame, the North Carolina Tar Heels softball team wrapped up their 2025 regular season.
It’s been a pretty nice season under second year coach Megan Smith Lyon, with Carolina finishing with a 39-14 record, which is already a nine win improvement on 2024, irrespective of anything that might happen from here on out. Other ACC teams still have some regular season games to play meaning we don’t know exactly what seed the Tar Heels will be in the ACC Softball Tournament — which begins on May 7th — but they will be there.
