Former North Carolina standout and current Chicago Red Stars midfielder Kealia Ohai married Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt at a ceremony in the Bahamas on Saturday.
On Sunday morning, Ohai posted pictures of the tropical wedding and tweeted, “The best day of my life. I love you forever.”
Ohai met the five-time Pro Bowler and three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 after being introduced by former Texans linebacker Brian Cushing, who is married to Ohai’s sister, Megan. Ohai and Watt, 31, got engaged in May of 2019 when she was still a member of the Houston Dash, who selected her as the second overall pick in the 2014 NWSL College Draft.
