UNC Recruiting: Coby White becomes top scorer in North Carolina history

The state of North Carolina has produced a multitude of talented basketball players, future NBA legends and prolific scorers like former Tar Heels commit JamesOn Curry.

Curry, who has held the state scoring record since 2004, was originally signed on to play basketball for the Tar Heels. He had his scholarship pulled due to legal troubles, though, and later went on to play at Oklahoma State for three years.

Curry was a two-time Associated Press All-State selection, and averaged better than 40 points, seven rebounds, and six assists per game as a senior at Eastern Alamance High School in Mebane, North Carolina.
