Day’Ron Sharpe, the Tar Heels’ lone commit thus far for the 2020 cycle, recently announced that he will be transferring to Montverde Academy, a prep school in Orlando, Florida, for his senior year of high school. He spent the last three years attending South Central High School in Winterville, North Carolina.
Sharpe committed to Carolina back in June of last year. At the time, he sat at #70 in the 247 sports composite rankings, a four-star recruit with little hope of adding that fifth star. Physically, he stood at 6’8 and weighed around 220 pounds.
