CARY, N.C. - Abbey Forbes and Anika Yarlagadda successfully advanced through the qualifying singles draw on Tuesday at the ITA Women's All-American Championship from Cary Tennis Park.
North Carolina has five of its standout tennis players - the most in the field - included in the Main Draw Singles of the first major collegiate tournament of the 2022 fall season.
Yarlagadda continued her outstanding play this fall by knocking off a pair of ranked opponents - Virginia's 35th ranked Julia Adams and No. 69 Dominika Turkovic of Arizona State - among her three victories thus far this week.
