The NCAA Track and Field Championships wrapped up this past weekend — several Tar Heels competed with the dream of winning a title in Eugene. UNC ended up having seven athletes earn All-American status in one for or another. Overall, the men’s team finished tied for 17th, which was the Heels best finish in the outdoor track & field championships since 2007.
Results for all Carolina participants that attained All-American honors are below:
Tommy Kitchell (Shot Put): Kitchell wrapped up a stellar career in style, capturing second place in the country in shot put. The senior put everything he had in his last throw, launching it 20.
