UNC Moves Up The Rankings Heading Into Final Day of GT Invite

ATLANTA, Ga. - Both the men's and women's swimming and diving programs for the University of North Carolina saw improvements in team standings following Friday's finals at the Georgia Tech Invitational. With a combined 55 season-best individual times and scores set on day two, the women now rank fifth of 10 with 396.5 points and the men moved up one spot to seventh-place among nine teams with a score of 292.5 points.

Right off the bat, the Tar Heels bolstered their team scores with top-five finishes in both 200 medley relays. Freshman Grace Countie, sophomore Caroline Hauder, freshman Sophie Lindner and junior Brooke Bauer joined forces to take third in the women's 200 medley relay as Bauer's blazing 22.
