The North Carolina Tar Heels women’s lacrosse team are continuing on in their quest for a national championship, as they advanced to this coming weekend’s Final Four. On Thursday, UNC downed Princeton 19-10 to set a meeting with Florida in Foxborough, MA on Friday.
With an undefeated record and the #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, Carolina were favorites against #8 Princeton, and they didn’t have too many issues.
While the Tigers scored to make it 1-1 after Kaleigh Harden’s opener, the Tar Heels pretty quickly took control of the game after that. Carolina then scored the game’s next eight goals, eventually taking a 9-2 lead into halftime.
