It’s been quite a few months for the UNC Club Hockey program. A couple of months ago, it was announced they’ll play another outdoor game in Charlotte, they—along with their I-40 Rival NC State—are moving up a division in the club hockey ranks, they announced a plan to build a new complex that’ll serve as both a community skating area for Chapel Hill but a first real home ice arena, and they announced they’ll have a women’s club team for the first time this season.
Momentum surely seems to be building to where, in their 50th year, UNC might be on the cusp of going from the club level to full-fledged NCAA Division One.
