Chloe Humphrey, Kate Faasse, and the UNC women’s lacrosse team have all been nominated for an ESPY award. Short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards, the ESPY’s are ESPN’s annual awards show highlighting the best moments and athletes from the past year.
Women’s soccer player Kate Faasse has been nominated for the “Best Collegiate Athlete - Women’s Sports” award. Fasse led the country in goals with 20, and her 44 total points led the ACC and ranked her second nationally. She was a critical part of the UNC team that won their 23rd women’s soccer national championship.
