Starting later today out in California, the final rounds of the NCAA Men’s Golf Team Championships will take place, and the North Carolina Tar Heels will be part of the action.
After finishing tied for third place as a team in the four-round stroke play portion of the competition, the Tar Heels will now be part of the eight-team match play bracket that will take place over the next two days. UNC collectively went +11 over the course of the four rounds, finishing behind only Illinois and Vanderbilt, tying with Virginia.
Carolina comes into this portion of the tournament in pretty good form, having been only one of two teams to finish under par in Monday’s fourth round.
