We’re less than a week from August, which means we can finally start turning our attention to football again. Training camp will start soon and the college sports doldrums of summer will mercifully come to an end.
UNC and the rest of the college sports world continues to move toward a more professional model for their athletics. But I’m not here to talk about NIL, athlete revenue sharing, or a GM hire. I have a more burning question: who will buy the naming rights to Kenan Stadium? It’s already been announced that UNC will sell the naming rights for UNC’s home field, and while Carolina football doesn’t have the national clout that the basketball team has, the school is still one of the most recognizable universities in the country.
