Keeping in-state talent home is a priority for college football programs across the country. The UNC football program was able to do just that on Sunday afternoon, securing a commitment from Class of 2027 four-star running back Amir Brown.
Brown is a player that North Carolina identified as a recruiting target even before Bill Belichick and the new regime made their way to Chapel Hill. The prior coaching staff, led by Mack Brown, was the one to inititate the offer to Brown, while the current staff continued to make him a priority on the recruiting trail.
It definitely paid off in the end for the UNC football program.
