The North Carolina Tar Heels are now 4-6 after dropping Thursday night’s game at Pitt and now have to win their final two to become bowl eligible. All six of UNC’s losses have been by seven or less points this season and two have come in overtime.
It’s frustrating to lose but there are some bright spots.
One of those bright spots is quarterback Sam Howell. The freshman has been fantastic so far in his first season in Chapel Hill throwing for 29 touchdowns, 2,794 yards and just 6 interceptions.
He’s just one touchdown pass short of tying Mitchell Trubisky’s school record for most touchdown passes in a single season.
